'PR' Maverick

DOB 6/23/96

Maverick is my "Little Mav Man" =)  Initially, he was the shyest, most wary of the two dogs I rescued from Colorado, but has made quicker progress than his "sister" Kesha.  Mavericks is now quite a confident, happy little guy.  He *loves* to cuddle with me, and has even felt comfortable and safe enough to hop up in bed with me on occassion for some snuggle time.  Mav is a Toy size (possibly a Mini, he's either right on 13", or slightly above, he crouches whenever I try to measure, the little stinker!), doesn't have a mask, and has a bad underbite, but he is so sweet that he's just a little cutie pie!  Maverick has arthritis that causes him to limp on one of his front legs, but he doesn't let it slow him down!  He is a spunky boy (when he's not sleeping! LOL) now that he has lost weight, gotten more energy, and come out of his shell since I brought he and Kesha home.  Maverick, like Kesha, wants to be wherever I am.  Both of them follow my every move, and flop down by my feet when I'm sitting down.  Maverick also gets into my lap sometimes when I'm at the computer.  He is noisier than Kesha--he's first to sound the alarm!  They both want to chase the cats, but Maverick is more intense about it, and gets very frustrated when he can see the kitties but can't reach them.  He's mostly shed his wariness and nervous ways since coming to my home, and now almost always wears his impish smile!
