Weimaraners, Alaskan Klee Kai, & Rescue

The Alaskan Klee Kai was bred to be a companion-sized version of the type of dog known as the Alaskan Husky.  They somewhat resemble a tiny Alaskan Malamute or Siberian Husky in appearance.  The Alaskan Klee Kai, while bred for companionship, is still not a dog for everyone.  This is a unique breed, and care must be taken to ensure they are a good fit for your home.  They are energetic, sometimes noisy, and have a lot of hair they may leave all over your house.  Not the least of the Alaskan Klee Kai qualities, is that they are extremely mischievous.  They are intelligent, and intelligent dogs are a constant challenge - you must always stay two steps ahead of them!  They can be reserved with strangers (requiring extensive socialization, and even when very well socialized, most are still quite reserved with those they don't know), and may bark, howl, or sing at the slightest motivation.  They can be demanding, clingy, and may suffer from separation anxiety.  However, if you can handle all of these challenges, you will find that generally, Alaskan Klee Kai are incredibly loving, loyal, very playful, extra snuggly, and they will make you feel like the most special person on Earth.
